Overview
Activities Co-ordinator — 40 hours per week, alternate weekends.
Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be an integral part of our service and our residents lives? If you can bring happiness, comfort, fun, compassion and empathy into a room with just a smile then we would like to hear from you!
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about joining in and being wholeheartedly involved in interesting and varied activities, tailored by you and chosen by our residents. You will need to have a genuine talent, and possibly experience (although this is not essential) for creating personalised activities that truly engage and meet the social and physical needs of our residents. Your activities will provide stimulation and exercise, promote independence, and will require professionalism and the highest possible care standards at all times.
The role involves liaising closely with residents, their relatives and friends, and staff, and developing links within the local community; strong communication skills are essential with the ability to pitch communication at a range of levels. Working with us offers a rewarding, challenging, diverse and exciting career where no day is the same.
This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity. Potters Grange is a 20 bedded boutique care home in Hertfordshire on the border with the London Borough of Barnet. Our core values of Competence, Choice and Compassion influence everything we do and set us apart from the average care home environment. We welcome diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all applicants.
We actively celebrate, support and thrive on diversity for the benefit of our residents and staff, and we believe this creates an environment of empowerment and mutual respect and therefore excellence in care.
Some benefits of working at Potters Grange include a range of rewards and opportunities described below.
