Job Title: Qualified BSL Teaching Assistant

The Role
We are currently seeking a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments across a range of local schools. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young peoples lives while working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils who use BSL.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Support the social, emotional, and educational development of students.
* Help create an inclusive classroom environment, removing barriers to learning.
* Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals where required.
Requirements
* A recognised British Sign Language qualification (minimum Level 2, ideally Level 3 or above).
* Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments in an educational setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
