Applications are being invited for the post of Family Information Service Practitioner within Family Connect. This is an exciting role to work within Family Connect providing Advice and Guidance to families and professionals alike in respect of how best to support children, families and their support network at the earliest opportunity. This is a part-time position for 18.5 hours per week. This role will offer parenting and early help advice, guidance and signposting to parents, carers and professionals, that will include providing resources and signposting to all services available to support them. This role will also offer advice to professionals in respect of Telford and Wrekin's Early Help offer, including completion of a Early Help Assessment that will identify the holistic needs of a family and support plan available to the family. This role will provide signposting to parents in relation to child contact with family members and their support network. This role will encourage children, parents and their support network to access Family Hubs community resources, such as Family Hubs parenting offer and Family Hub Drop ins. You will need to be competent in use of business systems to record information accurately. The role will require a good knowledge of safeguarding information and the local community offer, and multi-agency working skills to enable and promote partnership working and to support children and their support network at the earliest opportunity.
