️ CNC Operative – Afternoon Shift | Temp to Perm | Chesterfield (S41)
Join a precision-driven manufacturing team where quality and craftsmanship matter. We’re seeking a skilled CNC Operative to support production on the afternoon shift at our Chesterfield facility.
Location: Chesterfield S41 Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 3:00pm to 11:00pm Weekly Hours: 40 hours Pay Rate:
£12.50 per hour starting
Rising to £13.50 per hour after 12 weeks Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Core Duties Include:
Operating CNC machinery safely and efficiently
Setting up and calibrating equipment and tools to required specifications
Interpreting detailed part drawings and translating them into accurate production measurements
Fitting correct tools to active machines
Operating additional machinery such as hydraulic presses, grinders, borers, and overhead cranes
Inspecting workflow and outputs to meet strict technical and quality standards
Planning daily machining tasks to optimise output and ensure smooth operations
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
CNC experience and machine operation skills
Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurements
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and plan ahead
