Team Temps are on the lookout for a confident and creative Senior Media and Communications Officer for an urgent start! One of our clients, a respected professional body and publisher supporting mental health professionals is seeking temporary support in their busy press and media team paying £22.84 - £25.58 per hour, the role will be based in the London office on a hybrid basis 2 days a week, with 3 days working from home.
This is a 6‑month opportunity starting on 17th November to help shape public understanding of mental health and influence national policy through strategic media and communications work. If you're passionate about impactful storytelling and confident working in a fast‑paced press office, this could be the perfect fit.
Responsibilities
* Drafting press releases, comment pieces, and media responses
* Managing media enquiries and building relationships with journalists
* Monitoring news coverage and managing media lists
* Supporting social media content and campaign messaging
Qualifications
* Experienced in journalism or public relations, with a strong news sense
* Skilled at writing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
* Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and media professionals
* Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities
* Familiar with media distribution tools and social media platforms
