A great opportunity has arisen in our Clients highly skilled EMC (Electro-magnetic Compatibility) and RE (Radiation Effects) projects team for a new team leader!About the RoleThe EMC team provides specialist advice, strategy and guidance to all weapon programmes from the concept through design, proving and into in service.You will work across multiple programmes and across three main strands: requirements, design and proving. You will have access to extensive military EMC test capabilities also managed separately within the EMC department, that will be used to qualify the product developments against the electromagnetic environment requirements.ResponsibilitiesYour team will be responsible for investigating and/or deploying novel digital proving techniques and methodology.In addition to supporting the project teams directly, you will be managing and coordinating the project activities your team performs.The ability to manage activities on time, on cost and on quality, deploying key project management principles to ensure delivery success.Adaptability - a proactive, willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, even when things are changed at the last minute.A clear passion for people management and development. Investing in the growth of team members through feedback, training and mentorship.A high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to help foster a positive, inclusive and supportive environment.Knowledge of electrical, electronic and electromagnetic engineering is highly desirable, but not essential.The role will require a basic understanding of EMC, however this can be developed in role.
