Job DescriptionDeputy ManagerStafford, StaffordshireJob Type: Full-timeSalary - Circa £39,000.00 this includes sleep in allowance (£70.47 per sleep-in with an average of 11 per month)Excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified candidate to join the team in one of our children's residential homes. We specialise in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.The main duties of this role include:To lead the team to deliver high quality care to our young peopleTo ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and proceduresTo communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the dayTo review the young people's care plans and other associated documentationTo undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training packageTo attend/chair staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service modelTo act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting modelTo work with young people using positive support strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training (PRICE)To provide support to the Manager in order to complete day to day tasksTo run the home in the absence of the ManageTo complete on-call duties as and when requiredJob RequirementsTo provide positive parentingTo have exceptional communication skillsTo have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g., Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)To provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team (including completing supervisions)Must be prepared to complete Diploma Level 5 Childrens Residential CareTo be open minded, empathetic in a calm and professional mannerTo attend meetings etc on behalf of the Manager in a professional mannerEssential RequirementsMust have a full manual driving licenceMust be fully flexible and have the ability to work unsociable shift patternsLevel 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalentThe desire to develop into a Registered Childrens Home ManagerTo participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young peopleTo have a clear passion and desire to support children and young peopleTo be active member of a progressive and committed teamIf you would like to work for a professional and passionate company who has the interests of their children/young people and employees at heart.
