Brand Manager - Batchelors

Quick Meals, Snacks & Soup is one of the fastest growing areas of the UK Grocery Business, and it is an exciting time to be part of the Category team. The QMS&S Category includes several beloved UK brands such as Batchelors (£151m RSV), Nissin Soba and Cup Noodles, Sharwood's, and Smash. Innovation has been central to our growth over the past 5 years, bringing new products and formats to UK consumers.
The Role
1. This key role within the Premier Foods Marketing team & Quick Meals business unit involves joining a rapidly growing category.
2. We seek a talented individual to take ownership of our important Batchelors Rice and Pasta portfolios (£29m RSV).
3. The portfolio includes brands like Super Noodles, Pasta n Sauce, and Super Rice, each with unique opportunities and competitive challenges, alongside consumer-focused innovation pipelines.
4. The candidate will lead the Batchelors Entertainment platform, enhancing an engaging and innovative consumer proposition annually.
5. Premier's lean structure fosters ownership and responsibility. The Brand Manager will regularly engage with senior leadership, accountable for short-term performance and long-term strategic growth.
6. The ideal candidate will possess strong marketing, innovation, and commercial skills, with a proven track record. They should be adept at analyzing consumer and retail data, agile, and quick to adapt to market changes. External focus on consumers and retailers, creativity, and collaboration are essential.
What We Need From You
1. Experience as a Brand Manager or a senior Assistant Brand Manager in a leading FMCG organization.
2. Comprehensive experience across the 360° Brand Management spectrum, with proven results in a local market.
3. Experience managing gate processes from concept to execution.
4. Experience collaborating with external agencies.
5. Data-driven decision-making skills, comfortable presenting business cases based on robust data.
6. Proactive, accountable, and consumer-focused mindset.
7. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams collaboratively.
8. Experience with Kantar/Circana (IRI or similar) data systems.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Setting the strategic direction for Batchelors Pasta and Rice.
2. Managing the in-year P&L and market performance to meet targets.
3. Developing and executing competitive plans with commercial teams, influencing retail decisions, and enhancing in-store execution.
4. Leading the 'Batchelors Entertainment' platform, overseeing its implementation across consumer touchpoints.
5. Collaborating with Innovation and Marketing to develop long-term NPD pipelines and drive key innovation initiatives.
6. Providing leadership across R&D, Category, and Commercial teams.
7. Analyzing complex data to identify insights and develop action plans.
8. Managing the day-to-day budget for the Batchelors team.
