Overview
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is Britain's national regulator for workplace health and safety. The Change Team sits within our Operational Services Division and is comprised of three key pillars: Transformation Office (TO), Programme & Project Management (PPM), and Change & Business Improvement (C&BI). As Supplier and Resource Co-ordinator, you will sit within the Transformation Office pillar, led by the Head of Change (TO). You will enable transformation and change by ensuring that HSE has the necessary change, digital, and technical resources available with the right skills at the right time.
The Supplier and Resource Co-ordinator will support the application of demand modelling approaches to define the necessary resources for various projects and programmes, assisting in their recruitment, deployment, and development to ensure successful delivery across the portfolio. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of performance measures, metrics, and reports, helping to improve the Transformation Office\'s approaches. A secondary function of the role will be to support managing supplier contracts. Please note a minimum expectation for part-time hours is 25 hours.
Responsibilities
* Resourcing: Implement and support resource and capability approaches, working with HR, Procurement and the Divisional Support Team to secure talent through appropriate channels.
* Forecasting and Planning: Utilise demand and capacity forecast tools to inform resource planning.
* Supplier Management: Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and key stakeholders to manage supplier contracts.
* Financial Oversight: Work with the Finance team and Resource manager to ensure accurate monitoring and forecasting of resources and supplier expenditures.
* Capability Development: Support capability assessment processes and work with teams to identify skill gaps across all roles involved in delivering change.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure resource alignment with strategic priorities and manage third-party supplier performance.
* Performance Reporting: Deliver clear and timely reports on Transformation Office activities and key performance indicators.
* Support and Escalation: Provide general support, including processing invoices, writing resourcing proformas, escalating issues and covering for senior managers as needed.
* Travel: Travel to other offices will be required on occasion, including our HQ in Bootle.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in managing or coordinating resources across projects or programmes.
* Experience working with third-party suppliers.
* Experience supporting transformation or change initiatives.
* Familiarity with project delivery environments, ideally within regulated industries.
* Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
* Experience developing or maintaining performance metrics, dashboards, or reports to support decision-making.
