Please Note: This Role is Fixed Term for between 9 to 12 Months (Family Leave Cover).


Your Role in Action – Key Responsibilities

* Accurately interpret, process, and validate supplier and linguist invoices, ensuring they are completed correctly and within agreed timescales
* Maintain strong and effective communication channels with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries promptly and professionally
* Prepare and maintain daily and weekly financial reports to support operational and management requirements
* Complete finance‑related activities and ad‑hoc tasks requested by clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring service level expectations are met
* Ensure payments to linguists and suppliers are processed accurately and on time, in line with contractual terms and internal controls
* Monitor and manage inbound emails from suppliers, responding to queries related to:
* Costs, variances, and fee disputes
* Invoice queries, discrepancies, and payment status

Support the maintenance of accurate financial records, systems, and documentation in line with company policies and audit requirements.

Escalate complex issues or discrepancies to senior team members where appropriate, providing clear and accurate supporting information.

As your experience and confidence grow in the role, you will be supported to:

* Assist with the training and onboarding of new Finance team members, sharing knowledge and best practice
* Work collaboratively with the wider Finance team across different functions to support project work, month‑end activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and process development
* Develop a broader understanding of finance operations within the organisation, supporting future career progression

* Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Outlook), using systems confidently for accurate data handling and documentation
* Work effectively to deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and the ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment
* Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues, suppliers, and clients
* Demonstrate a proactive and self‑motivated approach, thriving in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven setting
* Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all tasks and financial documentation
* Apply strong planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver work on time
* Show a desire to understand issues and resolve problems efficiently and thoroughly
* Use initiative appropriately and make confident, well‑considered decisions within agreed responsibilities
* Be motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to meet targets and performance expectations
* Work effectively as part of a team, sharing good practice and contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment


Desirable Skills and Experience

It would be advantageous if you have:

* Previous customer service experience, with the ability to manage queries professionally and constructively
* Experience in a finance, billing, or administrative role
* Exposure to the language services sector or a similar fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
