Overview of the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll team, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time across multiple payroll frequencies. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a reliable, efficient, and compliant payroll service for over 12,000 colleagues. You’ll work closely with teams across Finance and People, helping to maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service.
Responsibilities
* Process all payrolls and input relevant data accurately across all frequencies.
* Manage payroll queries from employees and management teams.
* Process new starters, leavers, and contractual amendments.
* Maintain all statutory records in line with current legislation.
* Input variable payments such as overtime and holiday pay.
* Liaise with HMRC, DWP, and other external bodies where required.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and filing systems.
* Distribute payslips and payroll information to stores.
About You / Requirements
* Previous payroll experience (desired but not essential).
* Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail.
* Confidence using IT systems, including Excel and Word.
* Understanding of HMRC regulations and time & attendance systems (desired).
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* A collaborative approach and strong team ethic.
