Job Overview
As a Care Worker with Housing 21 you will support residents living independently in their own apartments within our schemes. You will work as part of a friendly, supportive team to help residents maintain their daily lives and well‑being.
Hours & Contract
Zero‑hour contract with pay of £13.48 per hour, equivalent to £24,601 per annum based on a 35‑hour week. Benefits include Holiday Pay, Occupational Sick Pay, Occupational Maternity Pay, and access to our Health Cash Plan.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with domestic tasks such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, and paying bills.
* Prepare meals, drinks and snacks as required.
* Encourage and support residents to follow agreed care plans.
* Help residents get up in the morning and provide personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, by‑night routines).
* Assist with medication administration and ensure it is taken as required.
* Maintain resident well‑being by listening, offering companionship and keeping management and agencies informed of progress.
Qualifications & Personal Qualities
* No previous qualifications or experience required – a positive attitude and kind manner are essential.
* Good written and verbal English communication skills.
* Reliability, flexibility and the ability to use initiative.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Commitment to undertake further training and support to achieve relevant qualifications.
