Job Description:
Location: Balcombe, West Sussex
Role: Full-Time, Permanent, Monday – Friday
Hours: 7:30 – 17:30, 45 hrs (including 1hr lunch)
Salary: £50-70k + car allowance (depending on experience)
Project Partners seek an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for water and wastewater infrastructure projects under AMP 8. Responsibilities include managing commissioning processes, supervising engineers, ensuring compliance, and delivering operational assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage commissioning plans, timelines, resources, and testing procedures.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulations, and project guidelines.
* Oversee testing procedures, including manual, automatic, and performance tests.
* Maintain detailed commissioning records, including observations, test results, and checklists.
* Manage the commissioning team, including hiring, training, and development.
* Communicate effectively with project managers and clients throughout the process.
* Ensure quality of commissioning and final product meet project requirements.
* Manage project handover, ensuring clients receive all necessary documentation and support.
* Identify and resolve issues during commissioning.
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Experience:
* Proven experience in commissioning water/wastewater treatment projects.
* Strong knowledge of AMP frameworks and UK water standards.
* Experience working with contractors or water utilities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) is desirable.
Qualifications:
* Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
* Safety certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, or equivalent.
* Significant experience in construction/commissioning roles, including senior levels.
