JOB DESCRIPTION Overview: This role performs duties throughout the Operations department. The Operations Stock Controller primary activities will be assist ing Goods Receiving, and being responsible for bonded stores. Stock maintenance and management will be a key responsibility. Forklift truck operation is a key responsibility to this position. Dispatch activities, such as picking, packing and shipping will be required depending on workload priorities, staff availability and skills training status. A clean driving license and fork lift truck license is a requirement for this role. The Job Holder Is Expected To: Duty Answer the door to receive orders fro m couriers. Log goods as received on MRP System and locate on Awaiting Inspection shelves. Use the MRP system to generate and create appropriate batch labels and associated records. Ensuring correct products have correct labels on at all times. Operate the forklift truck, better locating palletised stock as some items are sold. Creating and maintaining space in the pallet warehouse by consolidating heavy stock items. Take ownership of the stores and stock maintenance. Lead box cut down, space generation exercises. Be the primary stock checker, taking count of stored products ensuring records are correct and updated as per system driven requirements. Re-organise and update stores and stock locations, ensuring high running products are located close to the front of stores and slower items are located to the rear of stores. Take ownership of locating products into the stock room, utilising the bar code scanning system. Lead activities around lost stock, tracking historic movements, considering local areas and conducting thorough searches. Support the Operations teams in other core functions; covering fork lift operations, cable respooling Full fill ad hoc activities requested by the Operations Manager. This will include use of company van for collecting off site stock. Work in accordance with 5S practises. In the conduct of all activities the Job Holder must adhere to company Health and Safety procedures. Knowledge and Abilities Required: Skills Is careful, pays good attention to detail and is self-motivated to complete tasks. Can operate and gain information from the IQ MRP system. Experience in using inventory management systems. A clean driving license and fork lift truck license is a requirement for this role. Practices good time management and judgement in assessing and responding to team priorities. Ability to communicate effectively. Has a proactive approach to dealing with customer issues and the drive to achieve their resolution. Has a tidy and methodical approach to tasks.
