About the Company:
Yealands is one of New Zealand’s largest makers of wine and is 100% NZ owned by the Marlborough Community. Seaview Estate is the Winery and Viticulture operations for the Yealands Wine Business. The winery has established itself as one of the country’s most prominent wine producers and export their premium quality sustainable wines to over 65 countries including North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The Role:
As The Commercial Analyst you will provide commercial support to the Viticulture and Winery operations of Seaview Estate as well as support key activities in the financial control and compliance functions.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Director to create commercial tools and insights to create cost efficiencies for Viticulture and the Winery.
* Prepare product costing for wine each Vintage.
* Support the commercial management of Growers, including the Grower payment process.
* Be a key contributor to the month-end process.
* Support the Finance Director to deliver accurate financial results across Viticulture and Winery, including capital Expenditure as required for monthly Management and Board Packs.
* Support capital planning and investment decisions, through to maintaining the company’s fixed asset records.
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, ideally including a university qualification or relevant experience of 3-5 years. You will have commercial modelling experience and product costing ideally within the Wine industry. This position will evolve over time into a highly commercial role so the suitable candidate will have the ability to think analytically and develop strong relationships across the business.
