Internal Communications (IC) supports the Cox Automotive business in the following areas:
* Business partner support – we provide expert internal communications and employee experience counsel to our business leaders, driving consistent and effective communication with team members.
* Content creation – we develop engaging and creative campaigns to drive employee engagement and behavioural change across the organisation.
* Channel management – we maintain and develop a range of IC channels through which we communicate to our team members; and use data insight to explore new channels to reach our target audiences.
* Internal events – we have responsibility for all internal events across the business, working with key stakeholders to deliver informative and engaging sessions.
* Alignment of messaging – we work closely with the Marketing and External Communications teams to ensure our internal and external messaging aligns.
Scope of the role:
This role is an integral part of our European Internal Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will be creating and distributing content for all our internal channels and will support on the planning and execution of colleague campaigns - all with the intention to bring our organisational vision, and people strategies to life.
Key focus areas are:
1. Creating written and multimedia content for our key internal communication channels including intranet articles, weekly newsletters, emails and videos.
1. Supporting the design, execution and measurement of central employee campaigns, with the aim of engaging and informing our team members about key strategic initiatives.
1. Maintaining the internal communications content planner, working with key stakeholders to schedule content, campaigns and events throughout the year.
1. Working with the social media and employer brand teams, to align messaging internally and externally.
1. Providing support at internal events, working with the Event Lead and Internal Communications Business Partner to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Objectives for Role
* Work closely with the Head of Internal Communications and Internal Communications Business Partner to support the delivery of our European Internal Communications strategy.
* Create and distribute engaging, accessible and informative content for email, newsletters, the intranet (Fuel), news stories and multimedia content (e.g. video).
* Support the planning and delivery of our in-person, hybrid and virtual events, including Business Leader updates, Town Halls and our annual awards ceremony, The Autos.
* Keep internal distribution lists updated, manage shared mailboxes, and ensure our imagery is on-brand.
* Use key data insights and feedback across internal channels to recommend suitable changes to channels, content and events.
* Partner with the social media and employer brand teams to share stories and align messaging internally and externally.
* Support the wider Internal Communications team and internal communication champions (our European Culture & Engagement Team, and our Employee Resource Groups) to help shape our Cox Automotive culture.
Skills, knowledge and experience
Essential
* At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role in a complex organisation, juggling multiple priorities at once.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in using a range of internal communication channels and creating engaging written and multimedia content.
* Experience in creating a range of engaging employee campaigns, with positive measurable outcomes.
* Experience of building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Experience in supporting virtual, hybrid and in-person events.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Able to collaborate with others effectively whilst working in a hybrid working environment.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
