Job Summary
We are a friendly, efficient village practice in the Lincolnshire Wolds, seeking a salaried GP, full‑ or part‑time, with a view to partnership (if desired) down the line. We are a part‑dispensing 5.25 FTE GP Partner Practice that prides itself on teamwork and treats its staff like family. The team cares for a practice population just under 10,000 and operates from two branches (North Thoresby and Holton‑le‑Clay). Each partner has a specialist interest and we would consider and encourage any interests in the right candidate.
Main Duties
Our motto at North Thoresby is: The patient comes first. Your job will include 8 clinical sessions for a full‑time position. One day each week will be as duty doctor, covering home visits that day. You will be responsible for your own administrative work and help colleagues when they are on leave. You will be invited to attend weekly clinical and business meetings. We are looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, innovative candidate with strong team‑working skills. We are more than happy to mentor recently qualified GPs and welcome those pursuing new skills.
Benefits
Medical indemnity, six weeks of annual leave, one week of study leave per year, and CPD time. We follow the BMA employment contract. Salary is competitive and appreciative of qualifications and experience.

About Us
North Thoresby is assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Nurses, HCAs, Nursing Associates, a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Musculoskeletal Practitioner, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, and community nurses including Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses. Our backbone is an outstanding non‑clinical team of managers and administrative staff. Our dispensary, based at North Thoresby, is run by a highly efficient dispensing team. We belong to the East Lindsey Primary Care Network and have an active LMC and supportive ICB. All of this is set against the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, with convenient access to nearby towns and cities.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Make yourself available for face‑to‑face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, and assist staff and patients with clinical or prescribing queries.
* Check and sign repeat prescriptions, manage investigation results, and complete paperwork and correspondence promptly.
* Produce and comply with a work plan developed in partnership with the Practice Manager and Partners.
* Participate in activities ensuring compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards.
* Provide services required for the Primary Care Network agreement, including shared QOF standards and service specifications.
* Deliver high‑quality medical services to patients registered with The North Thoresby Practice.
* Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all ages and health‑care needs.
* Respond to medical/health problems with history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate.
* Read and interpret test requests and results, taking appropriate action based on findings.
* Carry out necessary administrative duties, including referrals and record maintenance.
* Maintain clinical records in line with professional codes and standards using appropriate coding.
* Operate in line with practice policies and procedures, including human resources, safeguarding, etc.
* Handle confidential information relating to North Thoresby patients with due consideration for privacy and confidentiality.
* Obtain, process, and use information in accordance with GDPR requirements when required.
* Promote and participate in a high standard of care within the Practice.

* Medical Degree
* GMC registered
* Certificate of completion of training
* Registered under the primary medical performers' list
Experience
* We are more than happy to mentor recently qualified GPs building your confidence.
* Pursuing new skills is welcomed.
