Deputy Wraparound Club Leader
Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused school in Gosforth to recruit a Deputy Wraparound Club Leader for their Breakfast and After School provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and child-centred individual to support the delivery of high-quality wraparound care, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for pupils before and after the school day.
This is a part time, 25 hours per week role (7:30am – 9:00am and 2:30pm – 6:00pm Monday to Friday).
The successful candidate will play an important role within the wraparound provision, working closely with the Club Leader and school leadership team to ensure children receive the best possible care and experiences.
Deputy Wraparound Club Leader Role:
As Deputy Wraparound Club Leader, you will support the development and day-to-day running of the Breakfast and After School Club. You will help to plan and deliver engaging activities, supervise staff and ensure the provision meets the needs of all children.
You will also deputise for the Wraparound Club Leader when required and support the smooth running of the club.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Headteacher and Wraparound Club Leader in developing an engaging programme of activities
• Ensure appropriate equipment, facilities and services are available for the provision
• Supervise and support Breakfast/After School Club Assistants
• Deliver activities that support pupils’ intellectual, moral, social and emotional development
• Provide care and support for children, including those with identified special educational needs
• Respond appropriately to children’s social, emotional and physical needs
• Assist with monitoring income and expenditure for the club and maintaining accurate records
• Promote and implement the school’s Equality Policy
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
• Help maintain a safe, secure and positive environment in line with school policies

Training & Development
The school will provide and fund mandatory training, including:
• Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Food Hygiene
• First Aid
• Fire Warden and evacuation procedures
Training will take place during working hours or will be paid as overtime.
