The University of Bristol has funding for a dementia-themed NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer (ACL) post for a trainee in neurology. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a post-doctoral academic trainee in neurology with outstanding potential to develop a successful academic career within a supportive environment.
What will you be doing?
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a post-doctoral academic trainee in neurology. The lectureship programme offers up to four years of WTE post-doctoral training or until CCT is reached, allowing the successful applicant to consolidate their career, develop skills, and establish themselves as an independent researcher and educator. The duration depends on previous academic medicine experience and planned career trajectory. The post is available full time or part time.
You should apply if
The applicant will have completed core training or be eligible for higher specialist training in the relevant UK specialty at ST3 level or above. The post targets those advanced in their specialty training, with a research doctorate (MD/PhD) or equivalent, showing outstanding potential for a career in academic medicine.

* Contract type: Fixed term for 4 years or until CCT, whichever occurs first (Clinical Annually Renewable)
* Work pattern: Full or part-time (minimum 66% FTE)
* Grade: Clinical academic
* Salary: UoB will align with NHS pay and progression, including transitional pay, based on the relevant clinical academic scale
* School/Unit: Bristol Medical School
* Shift pattern: To be agreed
