To view the JD CLICK HERE Public Health & Noise Nuisance Officer Are you interested in contributing to the reduction of noise, nuisance and public health issues for the residents and workers of Barnet? We are seeking a dedicated officer to join Public Health & Noise Nuisance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating nuisance issues including noise, smoke, odour, and light; and public health issues relating to drainage, refuse and pests. The successful candidate will contribute to a front line ‘witnessing’ service, carrying out visits and gathering evidence of reported breaches. You will be required to work some weekend nightshifts as part of a shift rotation. Key responsibilities include: Working independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrating excellent communication skills and confidence in handling potentially confrontational situations with the public. Attending court as a witness when necessary. Essential qualifications and skills: A good standard of knowledge of legislation pertaining to statutory nuisance and demonstrable experience. A valid current driving license.
