Maintenance Technician
Purpose:
To maintain our apartments to a high standard of repair to help create a memorable guest experience
Responsible to:
General Manager
Location and hours:
Based in Manchester primarily but must be flexible with requirement to travel outside London on some adhoc occasions
We believe in working flexibly – this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours. This may be ad hoc or permanent flexibility. Working hours are 37.5hrs, 5 days a week.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING;
Delivering Guest/ Customer Service
* To ensure that apartments are maintained to a high standard in time for guest arrival and that standards are maintained during the guests stay at all times
Day-to-Day Operation
* Delivering maintenance works in a timely and efficient manner
* Anticipating future maintenance requirement and proactively resolving before the need occurs
* Being on call for maintenance requests, including out of hours on a rota basis
* Ordering supplies and equipment for maintenance
* Supporting the General Manager and Assistant GeneralManager in all Health and Safety related duties including managing the company’s health and safety portal
* Supporting with refurbishments
* Carrying out PPM checks
* Be comfortable working at various sites in the working week
* Be comfortable working at times both as part of a team and on your own
* Active participation in team meetings and personal development sessions
* Be comfortable with lone working, particularly on late shifts
Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications
* GCSE/NVQ (including English and Maths)
* Basic levels in written and spoken English language
* Customer Service Skills
* Plumbing, Gas and Electrical trade qualifications advantageous
* Proficient with IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office)
* Attention to detail/ Decision Making/ Sales Ability/ Influencing skills and managing expectations/ Problem Solving/ (People Management)/ Flexibility/ Time Management
Experience
* Previous maintenance experience in a retail, property or hospitality environment preferred
