This organisation is looking to grow its procurement and supply chain function. In the position, you'd be responsible for driving business development and working across multiple projects from planning stages through to delivery. You'll be an experienced leader capable of mentoring a team of specialists while still having a keen eye on delivering yourself and managing client expectations.
You'll have a strong procurement/supply chain management background in either the public or private sector (a blend across multiple verticals would be best) and befortable working with up to C Suite level stakeholders. You'll also be involved in the below.
Your new role
1. Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line withpany policies, standards, laws and regulations
2. Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freightpanies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
3. Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse
4. Analysing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place
5. Identifying and minimising risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
6. Managing inventory, packing and distributing
7. Following up after accidents and injuries on the floor
8. Developing safety guidelines, teaching and enforcing the protocols
9. Supervising and training employees
What you'll need to succeed
10. Proven Procurement or Supply Chain Management experience
11. Strong stakeholder management abilities
12. Proven leadership experience with a focus on mentoring/coaching
13. Up to date with the latest trends and regulations
