This is an opportunity to join a market leading company within the R&D tax relief and IP (intellectual property) consultancy market as a Key Account Director.

What they need:
* 10+ years of key account management or client-facing project management experience from an operational / professional services business. This role wouldn't suit somebody from a product lead business. They need experience of managing complex projects with a lot of moving parts. Somebody from a professional services or management consulting background would work well.
* Proven track record of long-term success with senior decision makers.

* Consolidate and establish best practice Key Account Management
* Serve as the key link of communication between the client and internal teams
* Have an unrivalled knowledge of the clients needs, requirements and current strategy
* Undertake constructive internal and external post claim debriefs
* Keep key stakeholders updated and engaged throughout
* Ensure we deliver to plan for our clients
* Chair and manage the Client Account Management plan
* Be the escalation point both internally and externally with regards to the fulfilment of the client engagement
* Host events and hospitality to engage with clients
* Represent the business as a speaker to target audiences
* Support new business colleagues with prospective client pitches on occasion
* Work with Marketing to create testimonials or case studies where appropriate.
* Retain clients to set budget
* Achieve target penetration of additional products
* Upskill the consulting team with account management skills
