The SOLIDWORKS Technical Consultant role:
As our SOLIDWORKS Technical Consultant, you’ll be working directly with clients to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that create real commercial value. You’ll use your deep knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and PLM systems to help businesses digitise their engineering processes, improve workflows, and make smarter decisions.
This role blends technical delivery with consultancy, so you’ll need to be comfortable both behind the screen and in front of clients.
Key responsibilities:
* Design and develop custom solutions that meet specific client requirements.
* Support the successful delivery and technical direction of projects.
* Help clients understand how PLM software adds value to their business.
* Educate and guide clients with best practice advice and hands-on implementation.
* Define processes and working methods using the latest technical tools.
* Continuously improve and optimise development practices.
Who would be a good fit:
* Relevant qualifications in engineering, IT, or a PLM-related field (or equivalent industry experience).
* Experience working with SOLIDWORKS and familiarity with leading PLM/PDM systems (Dassault Systèmes, PTC, Siemens, Autodesk, etc).
* A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
* Strong communication skills - able to engage clients and collaborate with teams.
* A team player mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Experience leading or supporting project delivery is a big plus.
