Role Overview
As a Retail Manager, you will support your team to encourage sales, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of store presentation and stock management.
Responsibilities
* Lead store operations with energy and vision to create a memorable shopping experience.
* Use your eye for design to curate donated products through visual merchandising, feature displays, and attractive windows to boost sales and footfall.
* Stay updated on fashion trends and local market demands to identify growth opportunities.
* Manage staff and volunteers, including recruiting, training, and supporting them for effective store operation.
* Engage with customers, coaching volunteers and staff to encourage donations, promote our loyalty scheme, and enhance customer interactions.
* Meet sales targets and manage costs within budgets.
* Handle financial reporting, cash, daily banking, and security procedures.
* Ensure donated goods are processed according to standards, with appropriate pricing aligned with charity guidelines.
Key Criteria
* Solid retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing.
* Experience managing a team; volunteer management is a plus.
* Strong understanding of retailing and merchandising.
* Experience with cash handling and financial procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
* Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
* Knowledge of health and safety in retail environments.
