Come and join our dedicated team of skilled Clinical Support Workers. We have a variety of roles in a number of specialities at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Shift patterns will require day, night and weekend working. All new Clinical Support Workers will start with a comprehensive induction and receive ongoing pastoral and technical support from our dedicated Recruitment and Education Support Assistants (RESA). You will be supported to achieve your Care Certificate which will give you the skills and knowledge needed to practice safe and compassionate care. Following your induction and 6 month probationary period, you will be enrolled onto our development programme in order to give you the tools needed to thrive in your role.
Support & Training Package
* 6 day induction programme.
* 2 week supernumerary period – you will be supported by your new colleagues whilst getting to know your departments and new job role.
* Local induction to learn procedures in your department.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of a registered nurse/nursing associate, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of care to patients. This will include personal care and limited delegated clinical care duties. You will be committed to providing a safe, clean and caring environment for all patients.

Care Certificate
All non‑registered clinical support workers employed by the NHS since 2015 need to have completed this competency as set out by Health Education England. The Care Certificate has two parts: the Practice Assessment Document (PAD) and the 15 ESR Care Certificate modules. We offer full support throughout the completion of the Care Certificate.
Disability Awareness & Experience
CSWs are automatically enrolled 6‑12 months into the role. Includes visual impairment, hearing impairment, frailty, hidden disabilities, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Experience gained includes 2 weeks supernumerary local induction, competency‑based training, regular supportive 1:1 meetings with RESA, and participation in the Clinical Support Worker Forum.
