Overview

Bank Contract

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Ambulance Care Assistants to transport our patients, who are frail or need specialist assistance, to and from appointments at hospitals, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

If you have experience of caring for people with proven customer care and communication skills with the public, then we would like to hear from you!

A good sense of humour and local knowledge of the area you are applying to work in will also be an advantage.

Bedford or Dunstable base locations - covering the Bedfordshire area.

Responsibilities

The role of the Ambulance Care Assistant involves the transportation of non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude, as well as teamwork.

You will work in a team of two, or on your own, undertaking duties in a variety of vehicle types.


Qualifications

You need a full UK manual car driving licence, with at least one years driving experience anda maximum of 6 points for SP30 driving offences.


Training

Your role with EEAST PTS would start with a3 week paid training course(Monday – Friday). The training involves clinical training to be a ‘First Person on Scene’, patient transport driver training. The first 2 weeks training will be held in Welwyn Garden City. Driver Training location will be advised.

You MUST be able to commit to undertaking the full three week training course as outlined above.
