As a Family Support Worker, you will support our clients and their families to reach their goals and improve their lives.
You will be part of a passionate and skilled team, contributing to tailored interventions and recovery approaches.
Your main role will be to support families of our clients who have substance misuse issues or need support with having a loved one in custody.
You will work with clients to deliver specific, tailored interventions around family relationships and relationship building.
You will deliver effective, care-planned support to offenders, using appropriate models, interventions, and approaches tailored to individual needs. Experience in rehabilitation, treatment, or re-offending prevention services is beneficial.
About You
To join us as a Family Support Worker at HMP Altcourse, you will need:
* Relevant experience in health and social care, ideally in problematic substance use, mental health, or a similar field
* Effective partnership working and networking skills to benefit clients and services
* Ability to manage a busy caseload with excellent organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, and familiarity with database management systems
* An understanding of complex issues faced by people entering custody
* Determination, drive to succeed, and willingness to learn
* Passion and enthusiasm for making a difference in people's lives

* Starting salary of £24,637, with potential yearly increments up to £28,000 based on appraisal
