What you'll do:
* Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision, ensuring each transaction progresses smoothly from instruction to completion.
* Handle a diverse portfolio including sales, purchases, Deeds of Variation, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy cases, shared ownership schemes, and lease extensions.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery at every stage.
* Process cases efficiently and cost-effectively using web-based case management systems while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness by understanding business targets and contributing to fee income generation in line with agreed objectives.
* Support the development of assistants and paralegals within the team by sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative working environment.
* Work confidently on freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership properties while adapting to the specific needs of each client.
What you bring:
* A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Trainee Solicitor or equivalent qualification (CILEx or CLC) in residential conveyancing matters.
* Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload covering sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy transactions, shared ownership schemes, lease extensions, and Deeds of Variation.
* Strong organisational skills complemented by proficiency in IT systems-including web-based case management tools-to ensure efficient workflow management.
* Excellent interpersonal abilities enabling you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds as well as estate agents and lenders.
* Commercial acumen allowing you to understand business targets while delivering high-quality legal services that contribute positively to practice growth.
* Experience supporting assistants or paralegals within a legal setting by sharing knowledge generously and encouraging their development.
* A dependable approach towards meeting deadlines without compromising attention to detail or compliance standards.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective client engagement both remotely (telephone/email) and face-to-face interactions.
