Job Description:
A leading, global law firm is continuing its rapid growth and is now looking for an eDisclosure Project Manager in Southampton.
Purpose of the role
This role requires delivering eDisclosure solutions to lawyers and clients, managing an external panel of vendors, and driving the use of eDisclosure services across the firm. It also involves defining the firm's strategy for eDisclosure technology and conducting training and awareness sessions.
Responsibilities:
* Promote understanding and use of eDisclosure technology across the business.
* Deliver technical and consultancy services to legal teams and clients, following the stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
* Handle matters involving data identification, collection, processing, review, or disclosure.
* Lead discussions with clients and negotiate with third-party providers.
* Stay updated on market developments, legal changes, and technological advancements.
* Create and deliver training and awareness materials.
* Ensure high standards in delivering eDisclosure services, adhering to industry best practices, internal processes, and budget constraints.
* Manage eDisclosure projects from scope to trial, including litigation, arbitration, data access requests, and investigations.
* Collaborate with the wider team to identify solutions.
* Mentor and coach lawyers proactively.
* Manage third-party providers at project and firm levels.
Experience and technical skills:
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
* Collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills.
* Diplomatic and tactful, especially under pressure.
* Excellent project and change management skills.
* Experience in delivering eDisclosure/eDiscovery projects in professional or financial services environments, from law firms or vendors.
* Strong technical understanding of eDisclosure and litigation support.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to simplify technical information for clients and lawyers.
* Degree or equivalent experience in technology or law preferred.
* Hands-on experience with technology-assisted reviews (TAR), email threading, and near-duplication functions.
This role is hybrid, based in Southampton, with 2 days WFH and 3 days in the office.
