The family team forms a key part of the private client offering, advising on a wide range of personal and complex relationship matters. The firm is known for combining technical excellence with a pragmatic, client-focused approach, particularly in sensitive and high-value cases.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its established team as part of its continued strategic growth. This is a senior leadership role with scope to shape and expand the practice, working closely with other partners across complementary disciplines.
The role offers access to an existing pipeline of high-quality work, alongside the autonomy to further develop your own practice and client base.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead on a broad spectrum of privately funded family matters, including:
* Divorce and separation, including complex financial remedy work
* High-net-worth matters involving business assets, trusts, pensions, and property portfolios
* Private children disputes, including residence and contact arrangements
* Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
* Cohabitation disputes and related advisory work
* Domestic abuse and urgent injunctive applications
You will also:
* Act as a trusted adviser to clients navigating often sensitive and emotional situations
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across private client, property, and corporate teams
* Supervise and develop junior lawyers within the team
* Play a key role in business development, including networking, referrals, and profile raising
* Contribute to the strategic direction and continued growth of the family department
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with significant experience in family law
* Proven track record handling complex and high-value matters
* Existing client following or strong demonstrable business development capability
* Strong technical ability combined with commercial awareness
* Confident in managing sensitive client relationships with empathy and discretion
* Experience of leading or mentoring junior team members (or clear readiness to do so)
