We're Recruiting!
Hampshire’s Hives are popular support communities for foster carers. Currently, there are 380 families across 27 Hives. This Hive will support Hampshire foster families in Dorset and surrounding areas. If you live nearby and are interested, we want to hear from you.
The Role:
The Hive Carer Support Worker (HCSW) coordinates and supports foster families within their Hive, responding to concerns, offering advice, and providing emotional and practical support. They work in the best interests of the child, collaborating with professionals involved in the child's care. The goal is to expand Hives across Hampshire, with locations varying based on area needs.
This role is primarily remote, with occasional attendance at the Totton Hub in Totton.
What you’ll do:
Provide mentoring and support to foster carers, organize support groups and events, plan training, collaborate with professionals, contribute to recruitment and training, support colleagues, and develop the Hampshire Hive model while maintaining your professional growth.
What we’re looking for:
* Current foster carer with significant experience, maintaining your foster carer status.
* Flexible working hours to suit you and your Hive.
* Open to reduced hours or job sharing.
* No need to keep a spare bedroom or provide day/respite care; support is encouraged among families.
* Comprehensive induction and training.
* Passion for supporting fostering families.
* Commitment to personal development.
We offer benefits like holiday entitlement, pension, flexi-time, family policies, and discounts. We promote a flexible, inclusive, and supportive workplace where you can grow.
