Overview
Founded in 1885, Heart of Midlothian ASC – based in Edinburgh – promotes swimming for all ages and capabilities and is one of the top swimming clubs in the country. The club has over 250 members, with squads ranging from our entry level TaSK 1 squad to our NATIONAL and Masters squads.
The Role
Hearts ASC are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to lead our development (TaSK) squads.
Successful Candidate(s) Would Be Responsible For
* Planning and implementing a suitable training programme for the relevant squad(s)
* fostering a positive and motivating environment
* Working closely with other coaches and support staff to ensure a cohesive coaching environment
* Organising and preparing swimmers for competitions
* Attending swim meets and supporting athletes during competitions
* Ensuring adherence to club policies, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding protocols.
* Maintain PVG, CWPS, first aid and lifesaving qualifications as required
Previous coaching experience in swimming, preferably with SSCQ or L2 coaching credentials.
L1 coaching credentials will be accepted and considered also but may be subject to a review of roles and responsibilities in line with the qualification standards.
