Role: Credit Controller
Salary: Up to £28,000 Location: Derby Type: Permanent, Office based, Full-time
2fawcett are recruiting for a Credit Controller to work for a leading business based in Derby.
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager you will offer vital support to ensure smooth running of the accounts function. Providing varied support, you will be ensuring efficient and timely collection of payments and reporting.
The Role & Responsibilities of the Credit Controller
Handling day-to-day customer queries
Day to day credit control functions (including: processing new account applications, checking creditworthiness of account applicants, obtaining new credit insurance limits, variations to customer payment terms and credit limits, debt collection, ensuring customers sign T&Cs and where appropriate rebate and consignment stock agreements)
Supporting the Finance Manager in assessing financial risk (including fraud risk and credit risk)
Processing customer credit notes from the returns system and monthly / quarterly sales rebate credit notes
Day-to-day Sales Ledger processing
Manage and control customer annual target rebates and a master list of all customer rebates
Supporting the Finance Manager in producing the data for credit control meetings
Requirements of the Credit Controller
Previous experience within a Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable role, ideally within a SME business
AAT qualified or qualified by experience considered
Competent user of MS Excel (Vlookups and Pivot tables)
