A permanent position has arisen for an Grounds Operative (Arboriculture Team) within Community Services.
\n
We are looking for an Arboriculture Operative who values working as part of a small specialist team and should have a willingness to learn and drive for excellent service and tree care. You will have the ability to undertake a range of ground based arboricultural tasks and an active interest in climbing and keenness for further professional career development. Working as part of a two/three person team you will assist the climbers in undertaking various types of aerial tree work operations and ground based chainsaw/Labour duties to all council owned trees. You will help manage the work site at ground level ensuring it is safe and efficient. Works will be in compliance with best practice, Council Policies and Health and safety Legislation.

It is essential for candidates to have experience and interest in the tree care industry and desirable to have CS30, CS31, CS32, CS45, CS48 and wood chipper experience however training will be give. The ability to obtain a driving licence to B+E/C1+E/C and the ability to tow is also desirable. It is also desirable for applicants to have a willingness to attend out of hour’s emergencies.
