This role is a great opportunity for a graduate ecologist to grow within an enthusiastic team of ecologists and to deliver projects across the UK, particularly in the energy, transition and sustainability sectors.
As a graduate ecologist, you will assist ecologists and senior ecologists in the planning and undertaking of ecological walkovers, creation of health and safety documents, and written reports.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a graduate ecologist, your objective is to support the effective delivery and maintenance of infrastructure services within Transport Scotland’s Network Maintenance Contract (NMC) in the North East and South West of Scotland. You will work alongside the team to:
* Plan and undertake ecological walkover surveys to identify ecological constraints.
* Develop innovative solutions to identified constraints.
* Prepare technical reports.
* Collaborate with internal teams and other disciplines.

Amey Consulting seeks individuals with clear communication, strong teamwork, and eagerness to learn. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, professional, and ethical. To be considered for the programme, the following are required:
* A degree (minimum 2:1) in Ecology or other relevant subject
* Strong knowledge of UK protected species
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Team player, self-motivated and fast learner
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
* A Full UK driving Licence
