Civil & Structural Engineering Graduate Scheme – KBR, Leatherhead
As part of KBR’s Integrated Solutions International (ISI) team, we are seeking ambitious and talented Graduate Civil and Structural Engineers to join our elite engineering group. Our work spans the energy and industrial sectors, including oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, refining and energy transition.
What You’ll Be Working On
In the Civil and Structural Group we design and deliver complex infrastructure across a wide range of sectors. Our responsibilities include:
* Study, design and specification of onshore and offshore structures and systems such as buildings and structural frameworks
* Transportation infrastructure – roads, railways, airports, and seaports
* Bridges and tunnels
* Drainage and underground utilities
* Wastewater collection and treatment systems
* Underground gravity drainage systems
* Geotechnical design
* General civil and structural engineering works
Your Role and Development
Based in our Leatherhead office, you will work on projects at various stages – from concept to detailed design, construction and commissioning, as part of a dynamic electrical engineering team.
Key Aspects of the Scheme
* Hands‑on design experience across multiple project phases
* Structured rotations to broaden your technical and professional skills
* Opportunities for international placements (e.g. Baku, Chennai)
* Site‑based rotations to deepen practical understanding
Who We’re Looking For
* 3rd‑year or recently graduated with a 2:2 or higher engineering degree (Electrical Engineering or related) – Masters preferred
* Passionate about the discipline and its application in the evolving energy industry
* Inquisitive, eager to solve client problems
* Team player who enjoys helping others
* Initiative‑driven, confident working independently
* Enthusiastic learner and keen to develop skills

Our Selection Process
Our Graduate selection journey starts with an in‑depth review of applications. Shortlisted candidates undergo a phone screening, followed by an in‑person Assessment Day at our Leatherhead office. The Assessment Day includes group activities, a prepared presentation and one‑on‑one interviews. Civil & Structural assessment dates – February 2026.
