Operational Learning Analyst Data Intelligence – Kent Fire and Rescue Service

Job title: Operational Learning Analyst – Data Intelligence
Location: Based at Service Headquarters – Tovil, Maidstone
Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours per week
Pension: Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – career average pension scheme with 18.5% employer contribution
Holidays: In addition to bank/ public holidays you will receive 28 days holiday
Base salary: Grade 4 -Being a part of Kent Fire and Rescue Service

Being the Operational Training Technician

In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping and delivering operational learning across KFRS. Working within our Operational Resilience team, you’ll also provide flexible support to the Data and Intelligence Team — helping us stay sharp, informed, and ready for anything.

What you’ll do
Maintain the Operational Learning Action Tracker, ensuring all learning points and outcomes are accurately recorded.
Collaborate across KFRS to meet stakeholder needs, manage expectations, and negotiate realistic deadlines — escalating where necessary to the Operational Learning team.
Analyse data from debriefs, command reviews, incident recalls, Operational Discretion declarations, and national learning submissions, ensuring alignment with the NFCC Good Practice Guide.
Support the planning and delivery of Operational Learning activities, including formal debriefs and command reviews.
Collate and record incident-related documentation.

What you’ll bring
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).
Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and data integrity.
Strong IT skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Proven ability to prioritise, plan, and manager workloads to meet deadlines.
Experience of managing a range of stakeholders.
