The successful candidate will work across both hospital sites utilising cutting edge technology, serving both Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the wider community. This includes the regional Oncology centre and the Leeds Children's Hospital. Candidates will need to have minimum NVQ level 3 plus an equivalent foundation degree/diploma in Biomedical Sciences together with experience of working within a laboratory environment. Experience in automated laboratory medicine, specifically Haematology/Chemistry would be advantageous, but not essential.
Candidates will require good communication skills, must be computer literate and be able to work 24/7 flexibly as part of a wider team of scientists in the automated laboratories. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across all areas of automated laboratory medicine once fully trained.
