Our Alternative Provision (AP) in Clitheroe is looking for an Outdoor Education Instructor to join our team. This is a Temp to Perm position, offering a unique "try before you buy" period where you can integrate into our school culture before transitioning to a permanent contract. You will be working with young people (Primary or Secondary) who have SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and SEND, using the local Ribble Valley landscape to re-engage them with learning. Key Responsibilities Outdoor Delivery: Lead sessions in bushcraft, orienteering, horticulture, or outdoor PE to help students build confidence and resilience. SEMH Mentoring: Use the outdoors as a therapeutic tool to support students with complex emotional needs or an EHCP. Positive Behaviour Management: Manage classroom dynamics in an open-air setting, using de-escalation and trauma-informed practice.
