Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time) - Maidstone. Daily Rate: 90 - 95
Are you someone who thrives on helping young people overcome barriers to learning? We're recruiting passionate and reliable Learning Support Assistants to work across specialist SEN secondary schools in the Maidstone area, supporting students with a main focus on Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
The Position
In this rewarding role, you\'ll support secondary-aged children and young people with a wide spectrum of additional needs, with a strong emphasis on PMLD, as well as:
* Autism and Asperger's Syndrome
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
You\'ll work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support based on each student's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your goal is to help students feel safe, understood, and motivated to learn.
Some roles may involve providing personal care, including support with toileting, feeding, and mobility needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students in and out of the classroom to enhance learning and social development
* Provide specialist assistance to students with PMLD, adapting resources and communication methods
* Build trusting, positive relationships to encourage confidence and independence
* Assist in the management of behaviour, promoting emotional regulation and wellbeing
* Support with personal care and physical assistance as required
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and external professionals

Essential Requirements
* Able to travel up to an hour for work
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Comfortable with personal care responsibilities if required
* Willing to apply for or already hold an Enhanced Child only Workforce DBS on the Update Service
* Open to completing any relevant background checks
