Position: Teaching Assistant (with SEND experience)

Salary: £80–£95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you drive and have access to your own vehicle? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join a friendly and supportive team of educators across schools in the Lewes area.
Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with a range of SEND needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD).
* Assist class teachers in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Support students both inside and outside the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to deliver tailored support plans.
* Travel to various schools and settings in the Lewes area (mileage paid where applicable).
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND.
* A proactive and flexible approach to support and learning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport (essential).
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
