We’re looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join a well-established service provider in Holmes Chapel for a 3-month basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the finance function and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of credit control, including chasing outstanding payments from B2B customers via phone and email
2. Prepare and send copy invoices and statements to clients
3. Allocate payments and remittances accurately on the in-house accounting system
4. Maintain accounts receivable records and ensure timely reconciliations
5. Process BACS payments and perform bank reconciliations
6. Provide general administrative support to the finance team
7. Handle internal and external accounting queries in a professional and timely manner
About You:
8. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
12. Reliable, professional, and proactive with a positive attitude
