We are seeking a Support Officer to join our Systems and Support team and help deliver an efficient, effective, and value‑for‑money customer‑focused service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Building Control, handling all enquiries, emails, and technical telephone calls with professionalism and clarity. You will also play an active role in promoting the service to both new and existing customers, contributing to marketing activities and supporting engagement at events.

* Being a first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email, always ensuring a professional and helpful service.
* Processing and recording Building Regulation applications accurately across our databases, document management systems, and GIS systems.
* Supporting financial processes such as raising orders, monitoring expenditure, and recording income for Building Control.
* Acting as a single point of contact for developers and elected members, helping to manage queries and track decisions to ensure timely responses.
* Providing a wide range of administrative support including diary management, drafting correspondence, arranging meetings, and taking minutes.
* Preparing data, statistics, and reports, including statutory returns required by the service.
ABOUT YOU
* Has strong communication skills and can converse easily with customers.
* Is confident using Microsoft Office and other database systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Is friendly, adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team.
* Can prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and follow set procedures consistently.
