Our client has a great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their manufacturing site located on the Wirral Their products are UK-manufactured and trusted in mission-critical environments where reliability is essential. They are seeking someone to expand their presence.
The Role
This is a new businessfocused sales role, responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities. You will play a key role in building long-term relationships, targeting both end users and resellers. There are existing accounts to support so we see the role as 50/50 between new business development and supporting existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities
Build relationships with decision-makers, influencers, procurement contacts, and resellers
Manage existing accounts and partners ensuring existing customers are supported, and that the company sees growth within existing customer base
Manage the sales process from initial contact through to order placement, working closely with marketing to align sales and marketing strategies
Work closely with internal engineering and production teams to deliver customer solutions
Track pipeline activity and provide regular sales forecasts
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
About You
Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within the public sector
Confident relationship builder with a consultative sales approach
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working autonomously
Track recording of developing and winning new business, managing full cycle sales process
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
