Location: Cloud Kitchen – Bournemouth
Compensation: £12.21 - £13.00 per hour (£13.21 from midnight onwards)
Opening Hours: 10:00 am to 02:00 am, Monday to Sunday
Description
Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared pasta sauces and ingredients, maintaining quick service without negatively impacting food costs or causing waste.
* Wear a full smart clean uniform and protective clothing as required.
* Adhere to Pasta Evangelists’ standards, keeping pasta and other products at the highest quality for customers.
* Maintain an exceptionally clean kitchen that complies with all health, safety, quality, and safety regulations.
* Monitor availability and inform Team Leaders and the wider team in advance.
* Document and keep records of food information, stock rotation principles (FIFO) and ensure correct labelling.
* Maintain par levels and record any food wastage accurately.
* Utilise SOPs to maximise quality and speed of food readiness.
* Maintain equipment (fridges, pasta boiler, ovens, microwaves, etc.) with correct temperature records and SOP procedures for safe food handling.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained to SOP standard.
* Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, complying with “How to Cards.”
* Prepare food quickly in the correct order, following SOPs.
* Check deliveries, report issues to Team Leader/Manager, and store appropriately.
* Operate the wash‑up area effectively, ensuring thorough cleaning of used equipment.
* Use correct signage while cleaning.
* Dispose of rubbish correctly following company waste management processes and local authority requirements.
* Report equipment defects to Team Leader or Area Manager promptly.
* Follow close‑down kitchen procedures and clean to be prepared for the next shift.
* Organise pest checks and report concerns to Team Leader and higher management.
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
* Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques.
* Basic culinary skills such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing time.
* Meticulous and detail‑oriented in food preparation, cleaning, and kitchen organisation.
* Team player with effective communication skills, following instructions from Team Leader/Area Manager.
* Willingness to adapt to changing situations, schedules, and tasks in a dynamic kitchen.
