Bannister Farmis looking to recruit a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join the team.This is apart time role of 25 hours.

Bannister Farm is located in Leyland, in Lancashire. Our home offers residential support to five autistic adults, who may also have a learning disability. The home is located off a main road, in a pleasant neighbourhood.

Our team are dedicated to supporting our residents to live their life in a safe and nurturing environment.

We can also support those who have:

* Difficulties with communication
* Mild to moderate behaviours that challenge
* Epilepsy
* Some mental health needs


What you'll be doing


The PBS practitioner will work closely with the people we support, colleague teams and stakeholders to develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support for individuals and services.

The post holder will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:

* Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessment
* Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
* Incident support, analysis and colleague debrief
* Staff training & development

What you'll bring to the role


We are looking for a qualified professional with a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, or equivalent) and either qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor status.

The ideal candidate will have strong person-centred values, excellent communication skills, leadership experience, and a solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis.

Experience in behavioural assessment, intervention development, and supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism is essential.

Candidates should also have a proven track record in reducing restrictive practices, delivering PBS training, and strong skills in record-keeping and report writing. Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks, including the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding, is required.
