We’re looking for an energetic and inspiring Head Coach for the New College Swindon Football Academy to lead our thriving programme and help shape the future of college football.
With a squad of committed players, access to a full-size 3G pitch, gym facilities, and VEO performance analysis, this is an exciting opportunity for a coach who wants to make a real impact, on the pitch and in the lives of young people.
What you’ll do:
Lead and deliver high-quality coaching sessions twice a week
Manage squad selection, match preparation and fixtures within the AoC South West League
Oversee player behaviour, welfare and performance using ProMonitor
Organise trials, inductions, and player onboarding
Coordinate travel, logistics and matchday operations
Maintain training plans, equipment, and facility bookings
Support the development of a new female football programme
Supervise and support casual coaching staff
Communicate professionally with parents, players, staff and external leagues
Represent the academy at meetings, events and promotional activities
What we’re looking for:
FA Level 2 qualification (minimum) and working towards UEFA B
Experience coaching young players in an academy, club or FE environment
Strong communication, leadership and organisation skills
Ability to motivate, inspire and manage 16–19-year-old learners
Confidence using IT systems (training provided for ProMonitor/VLE)
First Aid qualification
Flexible and prepared to work some weekends where required
Passion for player development on and off the pitch
