Overview
Qualified Sonographer/Trainee Nurse Sonographer role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust. We are seeking a highly skilled sonographer with specialist expertise in gynaecology to join our consultant-led team as a senior clinical specialist. You’ll lead service development, scan and report autonomously, and shape the future of gynaecological ultrasound care.
Responsibilities
* Perform and report routine and complex ultrasound examinations within the Gynaecology specialty in accordance with departmental guidelines and professional codes of conduct.
* Act as a resource within the Gynaecology department, including Gynae Clinics, providing high-quality care with support from the extended nurse specialist team.
* Collaborate with the Lead Consultant of Emergency Gynaecology service, Gynaecology Ward and Gynae Clinics to ensure delivery of evidence-based care and adherence to NHS targets.
* Lead service development and contribute to pathway improvements.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualified Sonographer or Trainee Nurse Sonographer considered; banding dependent on experience. If unable to recruit a band 7 Qualified Sonographer, a Trainee Nurse Sonographer will be considered. If offered a band 6 post, Training would take up to 2 years before progression to band 7.
* Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from UK occupational health or GP.
* Ability to work autonomously and with clinical governance.
