Qualified Social Worker - Adoption
Location: Greater Manchester
Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our Adoption Team based in North West. In this role, you will be committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection. Your responsibilities include contributing to service strategies, policies, and procedures, working within legislation, and collaborating with children, young people, and their families to enhance their well-being and promote independence.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.
You will be dedicated to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes of your interventions. Using best practices, you will strive to achieve the best results for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
* Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach
* Knowledgeable about Child Protection legislation and issues
* Committed to continuous improvement for the best outcomes for children
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families
* Dedicated to providing high-quality services
* Experienced in working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams
* 4+ years of qualified experience
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity, dignity, and empowerment
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students for development
